Bengals re-sign Dennis Roland

The Cincinnati Bengals have announced the previously-reported one-year contract of offensive guard Jacob Bell and also re-signed offensive tackle Dennis Roland. Bell is a former St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans starter Roland hasn't missed a game for the Bengals over the past three seasons. was an unrestricted free agent whose contract expired after last season.

“These are two tough guys who know what the game is all about,” offensive line coach Paul Alexander said. “They are going to add to the guys we already have on board and help create a very competitive situation in the interior line.”

Roland has great size at 6-foot-9, 322 pounds. The Bengals use Roland, a former Dallas Cowboys lineman, as a move tight end.

He has played in 50 games with 28 starts. “Dennis is very good at what he has done for us and we are glad to get him back,” Alexander said.
