Bengals Draft Preview

Here's a look at what Cincinnati did this off-season and what their teams needs are going into the NFL Draft.

Cincinnati Bengals
2014 draft picks:
1st round (24), 2(55), 3(88), 4(123), 5(164), 6(199), 6(212), 7(239), 7(252)

The Bengals finished the season at 11-5 but lost early again in the playoffs. At some point Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton and coach Marvin Lewis have to make that next step. The Bengals did lose an important player in free agency in defensive end Michael Johnson.

Needs
1. Cornerback

The Bengals have an aging secondary at the cornerback position. They could certainly get an injection of youth by going this route in the first round of the draft. They may not be in position to land Darqueze Dennard or Justin Gilbert but there will be some high quality corners available at that first spot or even their second.

2. Defensive Line
I know Michael Johnson didn't put up huge numbers last season like he did in 2012 but losing him in free agency is still a pretty big loss. Look for Cincinnati to address this issue in the top half of their draft. Meanwhile, they could use another body on the inside at defensive tackle.

3. Offensive Line
Offensive tackle Anthony Collins signed with the Bucs. He proved to be a quality offensive lineman for the Bengals front. While they did sign Marshall Newhouse Cincinnati could and should add some more depth here.

4. Quarterback
Do the Bengals go for a quarterback with one of their first three picks? I guess that depends on how they view Dalton and whether he can lead Cincinnati to playoff wins.

Acquisitions
Jason Campbell (QB)
Marshall Newhouse (OT)
Danieal Manning (S)
R.J. Stanford (CB)

No Longer With The Team
Andrew Hawkins (WR)
Anthony Collins (OT)
Kyle Cook (C)
Michael Johnson (DE)
James Harrison (OLB)
Brandon Ghee (CB)
