Cincinnati Bengals Team Notes

Bengals quarterback Jon Kitna will play against his former team, the Seahawks, for the first time Sunday. He was the Seattle starter during their 1999 playoff run and was 6-6 as its primary starter in 2000. He signed a free agent contract with the Bengals in March 2001. The last Bengals quarterback to start against his former team was Neil O'Donnell against the Steelers in October 1998.

In the last meeting between the Bengals and Seahawks (Nov. 7, 1999) Kitna passed for three touchdowns in leading Seattle to a 37-20 victory at the Kingdome. Kitna will have to be careful against his former team. The Bengals will have to control the clock offensively to keep Seattle's high-scoring offense (ninth at 24.3 points a game) off the field.
