Palmer fired up to get started Premium Story

GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The New York City area has been good to Carson Palmer in the past nine months. Last December, he was awarded the Heisman Trophy at the Downtown Athletic Club. Back in April, he showed up at Madison Square Garden to be formally introduced as the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft and get some face time with NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue, although he had already signed on with the Bengals two days earlier.
