Jamie Newberg's Notes:
Clowney clearly hasn't played like the dominant force he was last season. He has painful bone spurs in his right foot and is being schemed against very well by the opposition. It's been disappointing for this junior pass rusher who only has 12 tackles and two sacks though four games. In fact, his teammate, Kelcy Quarles leads the team in sacks with three. Still, you can't deny his physical traits and pure athleticism.

Jamie Newberg's Notes:
One of my contacts out west thought Barr was comparable but better than Oregon's Dion Jordan (now with the Dolphins). Like the former Duck, Barr is big, versatile and very athletic. In three games he has 18 tackles, five tackles for a loss, one sack and three forced fumbles lining up everywhere on the Bruins defense.

Jamie Newberg's Notes:
Bridgewater could very well be the first guy off the board, especially considering the quarterback need on the NFL's worst teams. He's had a good month of September, completing close to 72% of his passes for over 1,200 yards, 14 touchdowns and only one interception.

Matthews is every bit the prospect as Luke Joeckel and Joeckel was taken No. 2 overall this past April by Jacksonville. Matthews is the better run blocker of the two and plays with a mean streak.

Lee's stock has dropped a bit and he needs to stop dropping passes and play with more consistency. Still, this is an elite player at this position and the top ranked receiver in this draft class. He injured his knee in last Saturday's loss versus Arizona State. Lee is already the Trojans all-time leading receiver in yardage.

Maziel lacks ideal measurables and his off the field antics drive people nuts. But say what you want about Manziel, this kid was born to play the quarterback position. Last season was no fluke. In five games for A&M this year he has thrown for close to 1,500 yards and 14 scores with a completion percentage of over 71.
